The gut microbiome does considerably more than digest food. It produces neurotransmitters, regulates immune function, synthesizes certain vitamins, and communicates with the brain via the vagus nerve. Gutriva20 delivers 20 billion CFU per serving across multiple clinically studied strains to support microbial diversity and gut function.
What's inside and why it matters:
Here's the Science
A 2019 review in Cell found that gut microbiome composition influences metabolic health, immune regulation, neurological function, and mood — through direct production of neurotransmitters like serotonin (approximately 90% of which is produced in the gut) and through signaling pathways connecting the gut to the brain.
Lactobacillus acidophilus colonizes the small intestine, produces lactic acid that inhibits harmful bacteria, and supports lactose digestion. Bifidobacterium strains are the primary colonizers of the large intestine and are most associated with healthy immune regulation.
A 2020 review in Gut Microbes found that probiotic supplementation after antibiotic use significantly accelerated the recovery of normal microbiome composition compared to no supplementation.
CFU count matters, but survival to the colon matters more. The delayed-release capsule design in this formula is supported by research showing that enteric-coated probiotics deliver meaningfully more live bacteria to the large intestine than standard capsules.
Suggested use: One capsule daily with or without food. Refrigerate after opening to extend shelf life.
