All the joint, skin, and connective tissue benefits of our grass-fed hydrolyzed collagen peptides, in a chocolate flavor that works on its own or stacked with an existing protein shake.
What's inside and why it matters:
Here's the Science
Whey protein and collagen address fundamentally different tissue types. Whey is high in leucine and branched-chain amino acids — the drivers of muscle protein synthesis. Collagen is high in glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline — the structural amino acids that form tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and skin. Supplementing both covers the full spectrum of connective tissue repair that training demands.
A 2017 study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that collagen peptide supplementation combined with exercise significantly increased collagen synthesis in tendons compared to placebo plus exercise. The study used 15g of collagen taken one hour before exercise, suggesting that timing around activity may enhance the benefit.
For adults over 35 who train consistently, connective tissue health becomes increasingly important. Muscle adapts faster than tendons and ligaments, which is why overuse injuries become more common with age. Regular collagen supplementation is one of the few dietary interventions with meaningful research support for connective tissue maintenance.
Suggested use: One scoop daily in 8-12 oz of your preferred liquid. Works well mixed with whey post-workout or on its own as a recovery drink.
